Sergei Yesenin: "Only for me, like a psalmist, to sing..."

Community Events
Seattle Envelopes invites you to immerse yourself in the world of Sergei Yesenin – one of the greatest lyric poets of the Silver Age. Sergei Yesenin was a rebel and a scandalous figure, a poet full of doubt and inner turmoil, desperately trying to find his path through the dust and smoke of a new era.

In this lecture, we will explore why Yesenin’s poetry became a voice of the people, why his fate was so symbolic, and why his name remains synonymous with the word "poet."
