In August, we hosted a two-week summer camp for K-6 students, generously supported by the SOWA (School is out Washington) grant! Guided by an experienced team of counselors and teenage volunteers, the kids learned about theatre and animation, played at the park, made crafts, and connected with new friends. All of the students in the SOWA program came to the U.S. due to the war in Ukraine in the past few years, and summer camps remain unaffordable for many of the families we serve. Thanks to the grant, our students had the opportunity to experience summer in fun and safe setting. We hope to extend our camps to winter and spring breaks in 2027!
