ESL Group for Kids – Seeking Teen Volunteers and Students
We are excited to announce that we are forming a new ESL (English as a Second Language) group for children! To make this program successful, we are currently looking for two groups of people:
If you are a teenager interested in volunteering or a parent/guardian who wants to enroll a child in the program, we would love to hear from you! Please apply on our website or contact us by email info@seattle-envelopes.org for more information. Let’s learn and grow together!
- Teen volunteers who are interested in helping younger kids learn English by becoming their teachers and mentors. This is a great opportunity to gain experience, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact in the community.
- Children who want to join as students to improve their English skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Updates from July
Two Inspiring Events on Astrobiology with NASA Scientist Julia Brodsky on July 17
On July 17, two special events took place: one for children and their parents, and another as part of the “Teach Me!” project for teenagers and adults. The main topic was the profession of an astrobiologist and the search for life in the universe.
Julia Brodsky, an astrobiologist at NASA and educator, shared what astrobiology is, how scientists search for life in space, and how anyone can start a career in science today. Participants learned how astrobiologists collaborate with astronauts, why NASA brings back Martian soil samples, and where the line lies between real science and science fiction.
Thank you, Julia, for the inspiring talk and your generous gift to our community!
