The “Crafters on Fridays” project has moved from the Jewish Family Service of Seattle and is now hosted at Seattle Envelopes under the leadership of Alena Kulchenko, a member of our Board of Directors.
We meet every Friday at 11:00 AM at:📍 8275 166th Ave NE, Ste 202, Redmond (Seattle Envelopes & The Lucky Pen Office)
The club is created for women 65+ who love creativity, crafts, and warm company. Invite your moms, grandmothers, and friends — it’s cozy, welcoming, and full of inspiration 💚 All materials are provided — yarn, needles, hooks, and everything you might need — but if you prefer your own, feel free to bring them.
💫 Story from the project: Valentina, who came to the U.S. through the U4U program, received essential items — chairs, dishes, groceries — and a bit of warmth from the community: a handmade blanket created by our crafters. It turned out bright and cozy, just like the kindness behind it. May Valentina’s days be as warm and colorful as that blanket 💚Come join us, meet new friends, knit together, and support those who need care and kindness the most.
🫶 All Seattle Envelopes projects are volunteer-based and exist thanks to community support. One-time and monthly donations can be made here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/c2827446-6338-45e9-b70a-4b097dc5f918
