December 5: “Let Me Learn!” — Investment Management & Research with Evgenia Gvozdeva, Ph.D. We invite high school and college students to a special “Let Me Learn!” event with Evgenia Gvozdeva (Ph.D., Managing Director, Head of Research, Russell Investments) — an expert in finance and investment strategy.
Evgenia will talk about: – how professionals make investment decisions and choose strategies for different goals; – why using diverse approaches to capital management matters; – how human behavior influences financial decisions; – and why success is more than short-term profit.
At the end, participants will join a short simulation game where they can play the role of analysts and learn what kinds of questions investors ask fund managers. It’s a great opportunity to understand how the world of finance works — and to ask your own questions directly to a leading expert.

About the speaker:
Evgenia Gvozdeva, Ph.D., is Managing Director and Head of Research at Russell Investments, where she oversees all research activities across the Investment Division — from quantitative modeling and sustainable investing to strategy development and analytics. With the company since 2009, she previously led projects in investment strategy design and development. Evgenia earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Houston, where she also taught and conducted research in behavioral finance and asset pricing.
